"From the first minute of the 2nd half we found an alteration of attitude. We didn't get because of the substitutions, which were made in the second of the 2nd half, but because of the change we made. It was the attitude of all players that sparked the recovery.
"It holds true that actually he [Kaka] is playing well. He is helped by his state of mind and this is necessary for the group, that he is playing well and that he's another option. That is always good.
Kaka's performance also received the reward of assistant coach Aitor Karanka, who had been pleased with the result of the group after planning behind to a Riki hit on 35 minutes.
"We knew that Deportivo weren't playing well and saw us as an opportunity to change their fortunes. However in the 2nd half we increased our play, we scored two goals and we could actually take the three things home with us."
Before Blaugrana edged out Sevilla down the road Saturday night, the gain moved Real to within 13 points of league leaders Barcelona. Inspite of the margin remaining exactly the same, Kaka thinks victory over Depor can raise Real's likelihood of claiming carpet this period.
"I am better. What we've around the corner is interesting and it is the critical area of the year and if the director wants me to play I'll be there to greatly help in these matches."
