LeBron James Responds to Talk of Flopping, Saying He's Not One of 'Those Guys'

Though the Chicago Bulls essentially accused the Chosen One of flopping, LeBron maintains that he isn't among the NBA's band of religious floppers (via NBA.com):

Miami's superstar shot down the accusations from the Chicago Bulls, saying they reminded him of the days when some claimed he was overrated and questioned his ability to lead a team to a championship.

"It's kind of the same [as when] I heard people say I was overrated," he said Sunday. "It's kind of like the same response."

LeBron was responding to allegations that he oversold Nazr Mohammed's shove in the Miami Heat's 104-94 Game 3 victory over the Bulls.

After sending Mohammed to the floor in an attempt to "steal the ball," LeBron was called for a technical foul. While he was in the middle of his "Who, me?" face, Mohammed got to his feet and then sent LeBron to the hardwood with a push of his own.

Conspiracy theories ran rampant after the game. Chicago's Tom Thibodeau took shots at the officiating crew in general, but he also didn't hesitate to call LeBron a flopper.

Nate Robinson shared his coach's sentiments as well. "You see LeBron in a lot of commercials, a lot of good acting," he said.

As a superstar, LeBron is going to get whistles in his favor. As for him not engaging in the art of flopping, though, I'm not so sure he can say he's "not one of those guys."

This isn't the first time LeBron has been implicated in a flopping fiasco, and it won't be the last. And whether or not you believe he flopped against Mohammed, the King has done it before (see below).

To defend himself in this particular instance against the Bulls is one thing. To deny he's never used flopping to his advantage is another.

"I'm here to play basketball and do whatever it takes for our team to win," LeBron said. "So what a coach and players say to me and about me, I don't really care."

Oh, right, she's not an athlete. But she's tangentially in connection with the sports world, using her two Sports Highlighted covers and her a couple notable relationships, one of course with pitcher Justin Verlander, and another massive brain fart along with "quarterback" Mark Sanchez (the quotation marks always obtain the scathing tone across).

Having said that, we have justified placing Kate Upton on much of our sports blog. She recently did a photograph shoot for Vogue. This lady survived and inspired that slideshow.

Michigan State Recruit Jay Harris Turns Down Scholarship to Pursue Rap Career

When a recruit is offered a scholarship to play college sports, coaches usually have to worry about competing schools, family, girlfriends, playing time and location being potential pitfalls to signing a kid that could help the program.

2013 Michigan State recruit Jay Harris, ranked by 247Sports as a 3-star wide receiver, has decided to forgo a college-football career and follow his dream in the hip-hop industry instead.

Truly one of the oddest decisions we've ever seen with respect to the high-school-to-college jump. But, if you listen to the young man explain his decision to Matt Breen of The Philadelphia Inquirer, it's something that has really been weighing on his heart for quite some time:

I've been thinking about doing this for a couple of years now...I try to take advantage of every opportunity I get and for him to like my music and reach it to me, I really appreciated that. I've always had this in the back of my head, but never had the courage to tell my parents that this is what I want to do.

According to the article, Harris' mixtape is set to drop in June and he'll be working with a professional recording artist this summer, instead of heading to East Lansing in preparation for Mark D'Antonio's upcoming football season.

He's already released a YouTube video—under the name Jay DatBull—that has over 50,000 views, and is entitled, "DatBull 4 Life". Warning: Video NSFW (not suitable for work).

Harris originally committed to the Spartans on national signing day (Feb. 6), but called his original commitment to the program "halfhearted", per Breen's piece. His decision has sparked some serious Twitter commentary, including that of B/R's own Randy Chambers and Michael Felder, and The B1G Time MSU (via Twitter):

The 5'11", 175-pound receiver had 48 receptions for 698 yards and 12 touchdowns last season. He scored 15 total touchdowns. Harris was expected to help bolster a Spartans recruiting class looking for help in the wideout department.

Operating mainly out of the slot, Harris was a playmaker for Downingtown East High School, posing a mismatch problem for linebackers through the air and victimizing corners in the open field with some shifty moves.

Phil Ivey in Legal Dispute with Uk Casino over Nearly $12 , 000, 000.

Phil Ivey is normally suing Crockfords' casino around Mayfair, London, after the casino has refused to be charged the poker legend that nearly $12 million they won there over several nights last August.

The Daily Mail's Ian Gallagher reports for the suit which is with the withheld winnings totaling £7. 8 mil that the poker legend gained while playing punto banco, some baccarat game.

Crockfords is Britain's oldest casino, therefore you don't last that long simply by randomly withholding winnings. Your casino has its arguments. As Gallagher reports, Crockfords considers Ivey had an unfounded advantage.

Ivey allegedly didn't have to have a run of good luck to build up this massive total associated with winnings; the cards were handing out all the answers. Since Gallagher notes, the belief is that the cards being used possessed tiny flaws that allowed Ivey to spot them simply by contemplating the back.

The cards, according to Gallagher, went through any recordings mistake in the cutting process and the manufacturing plant. This created a flaw that would be unnoticeable to most as it meant that the "geometric pattern hasn't been symmetrical. "

The 36-year-old was with a female companion, and we were looking at the only two going with the croupier when the winnings were accumulated.

Obviously, Ivey will never feel he is inside the wrong here and can be taking the casino to be able to court. As a conclusion, the world's most famous poker player is now suing Britain's oldest casino over millions of dollars.

Stansted City Hierarchy Sold Roberto Mancini Straight down The River.

To outsiders, it may appear that those who support Manchester City have overreacted before few days. If that is felt that way, you just don't understand the traditions that surrounds supporting Manchester City.

You can debate the merits for the Roberto Mancini sacking all day long. His record as some sort of manager speaks for on their own. However, his man management skills and unwillingness to be accountable in the media channels for missteps ultimately expense him his job. But irrespective of whether Mancini deserved to be sacked is simply not the issue, though most City fans would easily gloss over the poor man management looking at his record.

To sack the manager yearly to the day as soon as club's greatest triumph so to allow rumors regarding Mancini's standing to undermine a FA Cup final is an item could irrevocably damage the connection between passionate supporters as well as the club hierarchy. Understand, we've been not front-runners but sentimentalists. We love the likes of Paul Dickov, Shaun Goater and Kevin Horlock due to the commitment they always showed to your club. The greats just like Paul Power, Colin Bell and Mike Summerbee needless to say are important to our history but so are those gritty, spirited players who embodied the working class traditions our supporters.

Mancini embraced City's culture and heritage including his dawning to a club scarf regularly. The supporters sequentially embraced him and ended up being rewarded with three trophies in 3 years (yes we count the community Shield), five trips to be able to Wembley, and close misses within other cup competitions. This coming year, despite a media narrative put together by some elites in London that City contain a stronger and deeper squad than anyone in The united kingdomt, truly objective journalists fully understand Mancini was hamstrung.

A simple look at the bench Mancini had at his disposal most of the season when compared to Manchester United, Chelsea or even just arguably Tottenham would suggest that while City have spent several hundred k pounds, the return on investment is actually poor. It was not Mancini who overspent for many subpar players but the fact is the football hierarchy in the club. Given that the club were meeting expectations, Mancini was given zero opportunity to upgrade the squad in Thinking about receiving, either to add depth and to chase the title. That the manager has City second in the table despite lacking the flexibility in squad selection additional teams around us inside table enjoy should possess saved him his position.

City's most decorated manager Joe Mercer was really undercut by his excellent yet conniving number two Malcolm Allison. Mercer possessed won the league; both domestic cups and a European trophy between 1968 in addition to 1970 but by 1971 Allison experienced aligned with Peter Swales to oust Mercer plus the existing board from that club. Swales would provide a disastrous chairman meant for City and the decline because of Swales takeover was simply arrested by David Bernstein with the early 2000s. Sadly, Mercer's accomplishments have become Allison's accomplishments to many of our supporters, but given Mancini will not be replaced by someone with the club but someone because of outside, means the a reaction to his sacking will be stronger than Mercer's was.

Fans of more productive clubs can mock you and me, but for most Stansted City supporters, myself included, European success is possibly not something we crave and European failure is absolutely not something we are troubled by. Participating in the Winners League we understand is normally lucrative for ownership but for us it is merely this quaint competition where our club can face off with an actual match against names like Bayern Munich or Serious Madrid. Sacking a manager based on lack of European success may make sense for bigger clubs and may also realistically be wise with the stated ambition of City's ownership but quite simple reconcile well with how a lot of supporters view the club.

We are not Serious Madrid or Chelsea. Were a club that aspires being great but not with no honoring our history along with family feel. This is a actuality our owners need to remember when you need it if they want and keep supporters feeling as strongly within the hierarchy of our club as it is good to.

The Bulls Were Better At Scoring On Their Own Basket Than On Miami’s Last Night

The Chicago Bulls were historically bad at offense last night. Not that we blame them — playing without your starters and placing the scoring onus directly on Nate Robinson's back is bound to catch up with you at some point — but man, they were bad. As in, "No Bulls team has ever shot worse in the playoffs" kind of bad.

For those of you scoring at home, that's 19 for 74, or 25.7 percent from the field. Carlos Boozer led the team with 14 points — on 3 of 14 shooting! Nate Robinson had ZERO points. The ghost of Richard Hamilton scored 11. The only guy to sport a plus/minus that wasn't negative was some dude named Malcolm Thomas, who sported a ZERO.

In a surprising twist, the Bulls' defense was somehow more adept at putting the ball in the basket for Miami. Marquis Teague demonstrates:

Oy vey. It's been a good, hard-fought season for the Bulls. Considering all they had to overcome, a competitive second-round series against the Heat should make these guys proud. But a night like this shows how overwhelmed they are at this point.
