GPS is now a built-in area of the golfing experience for many, and we're seeing constant improvements to the technology behind it. However, sometimes the tiny things are what make a item certainly practical. Your GPS that will be made by bracktron, an aindustry leader in universal mounting solutions and accessories for many of todayas most popular mobile and handheld technologiesa has a product they feel until only a little simpler to access on the program. Itas named the Universal Golf GPS Mount and Iave been testing it out throughout the last month. From the Organization The Universal Golf GPS Mount for electrical golf carts and drive carts is made for handheld golf GPS devices. It simply adds on either the handle bars of one's drive cart or on the straight upright of most electric golf carts. The mount provides a secure, firm and easy to get at growing option for your tennis GPS. The involved Grip-iTas special design allows its clamping hands to open up to 4.5 inches wide to accomodate tennis GPS, iPods, along with mobile phones. Description In simplest terms, the Universal Golf GPS Mount (UGGM) is a nondescript, tough plastic bracket with a of soft plastic that protrudes from its back end. A closer examination reveals some useful features that could make it a valuable item for those individuals looking for a method to keep almost any type of GPS system in a practical and accessible location. The two rigid arms that make-up the edges of the UGGM are softened with a springy foam material that allows for a tight hold on the GPS unit. The arms could be altered by squeezing them down onto these devices and they are released by the button on the lower right hand side for easy removal. The advantage to that is that a standalone GPS, which can be small in size, fits just as safely as a bigger cell phone. As well as the adjustable hands, there are two afeeta at the bottom of the bracket that swing out if required to provide more assistance. Turning the UGGM about reveals the fitting that attaches the mount to your means of transportation on the course. Itas a flexible strap manufactured from rubber that may be pulled tight yourself. Loosening the band is completed simply via a key. Again, flexibility could be the key here, as the mount is allowed by the softness of the strap ( and ability to adjust its size ) to be properly used on any number of areas. Additionally, the band is attached with the mount that is allowed by a 360A swivel to move in just about any style that is necessary. Iall touch a bit more on that later. Performance Actually, Iave been looking for something like the UGGM for a while and have actually come near acquiring similar products. The two things that often held me back were 2) the question of whether my push cart would be fit by them and 1) uncertainty that my GPS device would fit in to them. When I discussed earlier, the UGGM quickly accommodated my larger mobile phone, in addition to both my smaller GPS system. Both units were attached with little effort, and they actually couldnat be any different in regards to breadth and depth. I do believe this can be a good testament to the usefulness of the UGGM. I was a little nervous concerning the UGGMas compatibility with my push cart. I use the Alphard Duo Cart, which is a fairly new product with some special features. The handle is fairly thick, yet the UGGM attached to it easily and conveniently. Because you can notice from the image above, Iave connected the UGGM to the part of the handle on my wagon and applied the 360A turning to position it in a manner that produces it an easy task to view and out of the way of my hands. Minus the power to swivel the unit, where I usually stay my left hand I would have now been required to place it. The picture below shows how Iave manipulated the support to have the required placement. As I was most interested in the UGGMas efficiency on a cart, a walker, but it was attached by me to a riding cart with the same level of ease. Final Thoughts Testing showed that the UGGM did everything it was supposed to. It had been extremely flexible and provided a reliable and conveniently located program for my GPS unit and mobile phone. Longevity seemed to be around par, as none of the unitas pieces broke throughout testing. In addition, itas supported with a 12 months warranty, according to Bracketron. The convenience of lacking to tie a to my belt or dig it out of my pocket while playing makes me genuinely believe that it would be considered a worthwhile purchase for all players.
