5 Takeaways from Thursday Night's Activity

The road hasn't been kind to any teams this postseason. The Chicago Bulls finally snapped your home team's winning streak with Monday night's 90-82 win over the Brooklyn Nets. Yet the Golden State Warriors, enjoying without David Lee, sauntered in to the NBA's hardest arena and walked out with a 131-117 win to even their line with the Denver Nuggets. Denver's win in Game 1 pushed their house record to 39-3 on the year. The Nuggets hadn't lost within the Pepsi Center since Jan. 18. But behind 30 points and 13 assists from Stephen Curry (who turned his left leg in the next quarter, but returned for the last), the Warriors stepped inside the Nuggets' house and beat them at their very own game. Fantastic State shot an extreme 64.6 percent from the subject, 56.0 percent from serious and ran out to 14 fast-break points. As remarkable as Curry looked, though, this victory does not occur with no play of rookie Harrison Barnes. Beginning at power forward in place of the injured David Lee (out for the playoffs with a damaged proper hip flexor), the Black Falcon jumped to a 24 points and six rebounds in 34 minutes of work. His tasty opposite throwdown over Anthony Randolph could have silenced the Pepsi Center, had it not been for the crazy effect from Golden State's table. Jarrett Jack (26 items) and Klay Thompson (21) did their part to keep Denver's defense honest. On the defensive end the Warriors did not specifically expand their popularity. The Nuggets related on 50.0 per cent of these industry goals all things considered. Nevertheless they certainly fared better than Denver in that respect. This collection now changes from what will surely be a rocking Oracle Arena for Game 3 at 10:30 p.m. ET on Friday evening (ESPN2).
