MANCHESTER United will scrap with old foes Bayern Munich this summer for the capture of £20million Borussia Dortmund striker Robert Lewandowski.
Sir Alex Ferguson masterminded that famous 1999 Champions League victory over the Germans and he would love to outfox them again.
Ferguson accepts Bayern are in the driving seat but Lewandowski knows he will upset Dortmund fans if he moves to their rivals.
Lewandowski, 24, is under contract until 2014 but is desperate to try his luck in the Premier League and United would be his ideal destination.
And he said: "It is complicated enough as it is with the forwards I have got. It would be minor tweaking and it really depends on the availability of players. Not everyone wants to sell."
