"If Mou leaves, it will be a great loss for Spanish football. [Real president] Florentino [Perez], I hope, will fix it for the sake of the club.
Mourinho's Real future has been a subject of debate in Spain throughout this season, with Real unable to keep pace with Barcelona in the race for the La Liga title, although he has guided his team to a Champions League semi-final clash with Borussia Dortmund
High-profile disagreements with senior players such as goalkeeper Iker Casillas and defender Sergio Ramos have done little to boost Mourinho's popularity in the dressing room and there were claims in Spain earlier this year that a group of influential players had urged the club to dismiss Mourinho.
But having guided Real past Manchester United in the Champions League second round, Mourinho escaped the prospect of being sacked by Florentino Perez, with the club now on course for a tenth European Cup this season.
With PSG continually linked with Mourinho this season, however, despite Carlo Ancelotti's success in guiding the club to the top of Ligue 1, the 50-year-old is unlikely to be short of offers should he leave Real.
Chelsea are also keen to lure their former manager back to Stamford Bridge to replace the outgoing interim manager Rafael BenÃtez, while Manchester United could also be an option if Sir Alex Ferguson retires at the end of this season.
Ferguson is expected to continue at Old Trafford for at least one more year, however, so the leading candidates for Mourinho are currently PSG and Chelsea.
