The players are reportedly keen to have contingency plans in place in case they are deemed surplus to requirements this summer.
Basement outfit QPR are almost certain to be relegated this season and the club know they will have to part ways with many of their high profile players, including the likes of Julio Cesar, Adel Taraabt and Loic Remy, should they find themselves playing Championship football next season.
But there is a growing belief amongst the QPR squad that a summer clear out will be instigated regardless of whether the club hold on to their Premier League status.
QPR chairman Tony Fernandes raised some eyebrows this week when he took out a £15 million bank loan to increase the club's finances.
Fernandes has previously acknowledged that the club's wage bill is unsustainable and the business tycoon is now reportedly ready to slash it come the summer.
Remy and Chris Samba are likely to be the first to be shown the door despite only joining the club in January as their combined wages cost the club close to £10 million a sesason.
