NEW YORK (AP) a Abby Wambach and Alex Morgan headline the National Women's Soccer League, the next incarnation of a women's professional basketball league in the Usa. The U.S. stars of the London Olympics is going to be joined by other national people in the eight-team league. The growing season kicks off Saturday evening with FC Kansas City hosting scoring-sensation Morgan and the Portland Thorns FC in Overland Park, Kan. Wambach, who will perform for the Western Flash in her hometown of Rochester, N.Y., moves Sunday to manage Sky Blue Hamilton Academical in Piscataway, N.J. Goalkeeper Hope Solo (Seattle) is sidelined after hand surgery for all the almost four-month season and midfielder Megan Rapinoe, who's enjoying for Olympique Lyon in France, says she is "slated to go with the Seattle team" in mid-June.
