Denver Broncos Reportedly Interested in Dwight Freeney and John Abraham

This news comes immediately after the Broncos attempted to bring back Elvis Dumervil, but a strange journey, as NFL.com's Chris Wesseling reported, led Dumervil to inking with the Baltimore Ravens.

As NFL.com's Kareem Copeland reported, the Broncos had both Freeney and Abraham in for a visit this past Thursday as a contingency plan should Dumervil not return.

Both Freeney and Abraham are extremely productive veterans. Freeney, 33, has spent all 11 of his NFL seasons with the Indianapolis Colts. He has 107.5 career sacks, including 13.5 over the last two seasons.

Meanwhile, Abraham is older at 34, but he has also been more productive. In each of his last three seasons, all with the Atlanta Falcons, Abraham has played at least 15 games while tallying at least 9.5 sacks.

For this next season, both of these players look to have enough left in the tank to help fill the void created by Dumervil's departure, and with 37-year-old legend Peyton Manning at the helm, the Broncos need to put all of their efforts into winning this next season.
