Phil Gartside clears up facts in shouty radio meeting

Today talksport, the radio station that had Kevin Davies on the air yesterday to go over his impending release and testimonial situation, had Bolton Wanderers chairman Phil Gartside on the point. The interview did not get that well as it changed into a shouting match with both parties looking to get their words in. What was crucial about this however is that Phil Gartside managed to clear up the recommendation situation. In accordance with Gartside, testimonials are done entirely not in the club's limitations for tax purposes. The Chairman stated that the team must then and implement be contacted by an outside board. The chairman finally stated he last "spoke to [Kevin] on Monday before he was goaded by you in to a meeting yesterday." According to Gartside, the discussions and choices were between Kevin Davies and Dougie Freedman and were made at the time that they were to permit Davies to probably look for a club to go to in the current loan window. The back-and-forth screaming eventually stopped when the talksport hosts asked if Gartside happened to catch yesterday's England match.
